Canava Roussos, the oldest on Santorini, was founded in 1836 to produce high quality wines uniquely expressing the characters of the numerous varieties of Thiran grapes. We can sample from seven different wine products: Santorini Roussos, Nykteri Roussos, Rivari Roussos, Caldera Roussos, Athiri Roussos, Mavranthiro Roussos and Nama Roussos. Volcan Wines is the next stop. The winery was founded in 1870 and has also a unique wine museum located 8m underground. Tunnels that reach the length of 300 meters long, shows the history of wine making and life in the Santorinian vineyards from 1660 to 1970. Visitors will leave knowing a little more about the past, about Hellenic Cycladic culture, and about the product known as wine. Boutaris Winnery is the next stop. Boutari Winery in Santorini, with its characteristic white of the dome opened in 1989 Open to the public, offers a comprehensive service tour. Boutari Winery brings the magical aura of the island and promises to provide a unique wine experience, bathed in Aegean light! Boutari Winery is on the way to the lighthouse, at the Cape.
